Blargh! I guess because I was sick at the time and I’d already seen it I forgot to include this on the blog. And, y’know, if I were a sane person - not so anal, not so fastidious - I suppose I could have just let this go and not bother to include it a second time. After all, who needs to hear me talk about The Help once, let alone twice? But unfortunately that is not the case and now I have to go through a bunch of entries, edit them and hope that Tumblr’s backdating thing actually works to correct my mistake. And if it doesn’t, I’m going to feel like this whole thing is a sham from this point on. Oh, to not be a lunatic…

But yeah, my opinion on this didn’t really change. It’s a pleasant enough movie, but I don’t see it as anywhere near good enough to be in the Best Picture hunt. Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, yes, maybe even Jessica Chastain, who I loved in both this and The Tree of Life, but no more.
