Looking Upwards and Dreaming

1 man.
1 year.
365 movies.
(One hopes).

I’m not going to say anything surprising about this. I stopped reading the first book shortly after starting because I couldn’t handle the writing and the movie dialogue doesn’t fare much better. Truly, some of it borders on self-parody and yet it’s completely lacking self-awareness. The only really fun part was seeing Kristen Stewart become an emaciated wreck. Those tiny little legs on the table near the end… they did make me giggle. In a manly way, of course.

And, yes, I probably mentioned this before, but I must mention again, for his humiliation and mine, that the only reason I’ve watched any of these movies past the first one is that my dad acts like a giddy little girl when he sees anything Twilight related. After this one he declared, “well, that was crap”, but in six weeks he will have forgotten that and be convinced he thought it was great, just because it has vampires and werewolves in it. Family, eh?
